Tuesday, April 28th 2008:

Well we just got back from mixing the 2 hits from hell down with Matt Barnhart out at The Echo Lab. Andre Edmonson from the Lola's/Wreck Room was kind enough to give us a hand out there. No one knows how the Me-Thinks sound better than Dre and between him and Barnhart's expertice, We got some pretty raw and rockin good tunes to go on these split sevens we are planning with One Fingered Fist and Bastardos de Sancho. Stay tuned kiddies, we should have some of these limited 7's out real soon.

A fond fairwell to our partners in crime over the years, Darth Vato. They sunsetted in style with us and Pablo & the Hemphill 7 at Lola's last Saturday night and that was probably one of the funnest shows we have played. The place was the fullest I have ever seen it with a line out the door. The Vatos really deserves a send off like that after all these years too. I am pretty sure a good time was had by all but I don't quite remember all that much. Thank Goodness for the Asian Media Crew for documenting the impossible. We're going to miss you guys but we'll always have Paris.

Speaking of Fond Farewells...A reunion show of sorts in honor of our dear friend...Chad "Cadillac Fraf" Percy is going to be in effect this Friday night in Fort Worth at Lola's and Saturday night at Lovejoy's in Austin. Garuda and Suciety will be reuniting for some shows in honor of our fallen comrade Fraf. The Great Tyrant is with them in Fort Worth and Shed Alford opens in Austin. I am going to be there at Lola's on Friday night but can't make the Austin show on account the Me-Thinks are playing at FredFest 2009. Monday, April 13th 2008:

Lots going on at the Me-Thinks secret mountain lair this year. Too much to update the page in a timely manner and for that we are truly sorry. Oh, who am I kidding...we're not sorry at all. We're out living our lives, drinking beers, and playing loud and we just didn't give a fuck about updating the site until now. There the truth is always better than fiction

Here's some news:

• The "Marlin" amp is done and working at full gain. Thanks to James for putting it together from scratch and making this JTM 45 clone the best sounding amp in Haltom City.


• We recorded 2 new songs up at the Echo Lab in Argyle with Matt Barnhart. Both songs, WasWulf and Greazy Lightning, are going to be used for the split 7s coming out later this year. More info as we get it but we're hoping for beer colored (and flavored) vinyl.


• Bandy got a new Guit-fiddle to use when his 335 gets too much corn or sweet potatoes in the pick-ups. He got a nice little Gretsch solid body to bang on.


• I got an Ampeg AMB-1 copy made by Eastwood for some bartering I did with a secret person for secret things. OK, I took some naked pictures for an older gentleman friend of mine but fuck a bass is a bass.


• We've got a few new songs in the works too but more about that after the shows...

• April 25th - The Me-Thinks play with Pablo & the Hemphill 7 and Darth Vato at Lola's (6th) for Darth Vato's last show ever!


• May 2nd - The Me-Thinks play FredFest at 4PM


• May 9th - Stoogeaphilia plays with Bastardos de Sancho and One Fingered Fist at Lola's (6th) for Ray's 37th birthday barf-fest


• May 16th - The Me-Thinks play the Roller Derby at Nytex Sports Centre in North Richland Hills at 7PM and again at Halftime


• May 22nd - Stoogeaphilia and the Transistor Tramps play the Moon

Friday, August 8th 2008:

Sorry I just havn't been writing lately. Fuck it. Had birthdays, trips to New York and West Virginia. Getting ready to go back up to Seattle and work on the Pungent Sound EP with Jack from Indian Casino. Been busy as Hell I guess.

We're playing tonight with the legendary Hickoids from Austin as well as Tex Edwards and the Swingin Kornflake Killers, Dragna and the Cicadas down at Reno's Chop Shop in Deep Ellum. COme on out if you got the means.

We are also playing the Lola's Picnic at the end of August. The 31st to be exact so mosey on down there about 1 in the afternoon that Sunday and stay all day with us. Cookout, bands, fire, beer and mayhem all for one low low price of $5 bucks if you're 21 and over or $10 if you're a youngin. Sharing the bill with us are such local luminaries as Stoogeaphilia, TitanMoon, Jefferson Colby, The Cut*Off and Hurt Street. Make it out Bitches!

Monday, March 24th 2008:

Yes ladies and gentlemens, the rumors are true! We are, once again, going to be opening up for legendary Loco Gringos on Friday, April 18th at the Lakewood Bar & Grill in Dallas, Texas! We've been writing new songs and taking a breather but we'll be back in April with new rock and old hat! That's all I got! We do have some shows coming up and here they are:

Wednesday, February 6th 2008:

Nothing new to write about here but I feel obligated to keep all of you kind folks, all 8 that read this site (hi Mom!), in the drunken loop. We did mamange to get nice and gooned at practice last week and will more than likely get real nice and gooned at this practice. Why you ask? Because that's what we fucking do! Get Gooned and play sloppy rock. Oh yeah, we started on 2 new songs.

I got nothing...

Next Show...Saturday, February 29th at the Ridglea Theater with Goodwin (CD Release), The Backsliders, Sunday Drive, Scene Girls and maybe even a magician.

Thursday, January 30th 2008:

Fuck! Did I really miss two months of posts...oh well...Happy New Year Motherfuckers.

I went and saw High on Fire, Saviours, Rwake, A Life Once Lost, The Sword, High Cost of Living and Record Hop last weekend for a full weekend of epic Wizards and Warriors style metal. Gets the blood flowing ya know. Gets the brain juice flowing too and we are going to take a few months off to write some new songs. As Marlin said..."Our set has that not so fresh feeling". So we're going to douche our musical vaginas and write some new tunes before coming back to live shows in the Spring. But not before playing the 29th of February (Leap Year Yay!) with Goodwin (record release), Sunday Drive, the Backsliders and, get this, a fucking Magician! Yup, magic and the Me-Thinks together on one stage. We do need all the help we can get I guess.

I officially promise to post here more too. You can buy me a beer if I don't because that would suck. Everyone buying me beers and not really having anywhere to put them except in my belly. Life sucks huh?
